Source and scope. The index reads PadelScout's stored retailer offers and includes only in-stock listings from the public retailer allowlist. The current sample is 1284 offers across 477 rackets and 7 retailers.
Currency. All prices are in EUR. Retailer feeds are normalized to EUR when they are imported, so the index works from a single currency with no live exchange-rate conversion at read time.
Calculations. Averages and medians are offer-weighted: every qualifying retailer listing is one observation. The racket-weighted figures use each racket's cheapest current EUR offer as one observation. For an even sample, the median is the mean of the two middle prices. A verified price drop uses only the cheapest current EUR offer per racket, requires at least seven stored daily snapshots in the prior 30-day window, and measures savings against that racket's prior observed low.
Freshness and trend. The page cache refreshes daily, independently of individual offer changes. The index does not claim a market trend because historical rows do not retain the retailer and currency fields needed to reconcile the same public EUR scope as a market trend. History comes from the public best-offer snapshot, and missed days can be carried forward using the last known price; it is used here only as a conservative per-racket floor. The latest included offer was observed on 26 August 2026.
