This policy explains how PadelScout collects, uses, shares, and stores personal data across the web app.
The data controller for this service is Zvonimir Petar Rezo. For any privacy-related questions or requests, contact us at: zvonimir.rezo@padelscout.co.
We collect data you submit directly, including your email address for account creation, newsletter signups, price alerts, and Racket Match result delivery. If you complete a profile or publish a review, we also store your public profile fields, ratings, and review text.
We also store technical data needed to operate the web app, including sign-in session data, basic security logs, cookie-consent choices, compare selections saved in your browser, and first-party analytics events only when you opt into analytics.
We use data to create and maintain accounts, render your profile and reviews, send requested transactional or marketing emails, send price alerts, deliver Racket Match results, and improve product content and search quality.
Racket Match quiz answers are used to score racket recommendations. If you request the AI explanation, selected quiz and result data is sent to OpenAI to generate supporting copy. The AI output is not the sole source of the recommendation.
Account creation, sign-in, session security, functional browser storage, and delivery of requested product features rely on contract performance and legitimate interests in operating the service securely.
Newsletter marketing, non-essential analytics measurement, and similar optional communications rely on consent. You can withdraw consent through Cookie Settings or through the signed links in subscription emails.
PadelScout uses Supabase for authentication and database storage, Resend for email delivery, OpenAI for AI-generated recommendation explanations, Google Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights for post-consent measurement, and an optional newsletter webhook integration when configured.
Data transferred to OpenAI (USA) for AI explanation generation is covered by Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, as detailed in OpenAI's Data Processing Addendum.
Retailer links may be affiliate links. Retail partners control their own pricing, stock, and checkout terms. Clicking retailer links may be logged to support analytics and price-comparison integrity.
Account data (profile, wishlist, newsletter subscription, price alerts) is deleted immediately when you request account deletion. Reviews may remain published after account deletion, but without your identity attached.
Newsletter subscription records are retained after unsubscription to prevent accidental re-addition (suppression list). Raw first-party analytics events are automatically deleted after 90 days by a scheduled cleanup. Aggregated popularity statistics that contain no personal data may be kept longer.
You can request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal data. The profile area now includes export and delete-account controls. You can contact us through the Contact section on the About page for any additional privacy request or objection.
Where processing relies on legitimate interests, you have the right to object at any time by contacting zvonimir.rezo@padelscout.co. We will cease processing unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds.
Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may also lodge a complaint with the Croatian data protection authority AZOP (azop.hr), or the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
