Round padel rackets

Why players pick a round racket

A round head puts the sweet spot in the middle of the face and keeps the weight close to the hand. That is why round rackets dominate control lists: in our catalog on 29 October 2026, 51 of the 126 round rackets on offer were labelled control by their maker, and only 2 were labelled power. Low and low-to-medium balance made up two thirds of the group.

Round is not only for beginners

The largest share of round rackets in our catalog, 61 of 126, is listed for advanced players, not beginners. The premium end includes models such as the Adidas Metalbone CTRL 2026 and the Nox ML10 Ventus Control 3K 2026, both with carbon faces. At the cheap end, fiberglass frames like the Nox X-Zero 2026 and the Adidas Drive 2026 are listed for beginners. Use the level table above to see where the cheapest round racket for your level sits today.

What to check inside the group

With shape and balance mostly settled, hardness becomes the main difference. Medium-soft and medium are the most common listings here; a medium-hard round racket such as the Nox VK10 Ventus Control 12K 2026 gives a firmer response for the same shape. Weight matters too: several round rackets are also in our lightweight padel rackets list.

Want something closer to the Metalbone CTRL but cheaper? Its alternatives page lists offered rackets with the same shape and a close balance, weight and hardness. For the other two shapes, see the teardrop and diamond collections.
